Coffee With a Kick

Oh coffee, my good friend. I have loved you for a long long time. I feel quite lucky that coffee doesn’t upset my stomach or give me the jitters – that would be awful!

Thank goodness for amazing alternatives such as mushroom coffee or turmeric lattes. A warm cup of goodness releases feelings of contentment, coziness, and comfort. I just love it!

For those of you who are able to enjoy coffee and REALLY do enjoy it as much as I do, this ones for you. But there’s a bit of a twist here. This recipe is my take on a cozy warm cuppa joe. I mixed up some ingredients one morning (I do this very often …

Recipe:
1 tsp Maca Powder

1 Tbsp Maple Syrup/ Agave/ Coconut sugar

I reached for a pen and paper and quickly wrote down a rough estimate of measurements. This also happens often. I get into a meditative state when I am cooking/baking/creating – I have music playing and my phone is out of reach (unless I reach for it to take a photo of course). It’s very healing for me. I become so present. I feel extremely lighter throughout it.

So – this new fancy coffee that I am about to share with you can almost be treated as a morning ritual. It’s not as quick to make as your regular coffee, but that’s the blessing in it. Allow this routine to be slow, mindful, and smile at every bit of nourishment you are adding into your morning mug.

This comforting cup of joe is not only tasty but healthier than your average cup because of the vitamins and nutrients added.
